Mojo Monday 85 Butterfly, Italiano!

Good morning! Wow, have you received as much rain lately as we have in Northern Virginia? You can only imagine how beautiful the trees and flowers are looking outside; I'm enjoying the view. Spring time reminds me of butterflies because it's a renewal of life and in a spiritual sense, a renewal of our soul, shedding the old and embracing the new. This card sketch is from the Mojo Monday sketch blog; check it out, if you have time and play along with the rest of us.

The main image was first stamped with the Italian Poetry stamp (Hero Arts) and overstamped with a butterfly from Inkido. The butterfly was colored with Stampin' Up markers in various colors; this particular stamp really holds the "juice" of the markers well before actually stamping. All the dp papers are from Basic Grey, the Ambrosia line. The cs is from Papertrey Ink as well as the ribbon. The border punch is from MS's line of paper punches. Corner punch, vintage corner, is from EK Success. The flowers were punched and had some glitter from MS added to the centers. The ink is Tuxedo Black from Memento (this is the go to ink pad for stamping.)

Wishing you a day of sunshine, inside and out,
Gigi

Hi Gigi! What a lovely card you've made :-) I really like what you did with the butterfly! :-)

Thank you so much for your comment. The flowers (exept the top flower) is made from a template by Miss CutiePie. You can find it here:

I just took a beautiful paper and used my scissor to cut stripes on the second layer. I´ve used the 3D glue dots between each layer. The top flower is recently purchased from a internet store in England. You can find it here:

They have very good prices on flowers and a huge variaty of sorts :-)

I´m looking forward to Altheas Mix starting up now so we can create :-)
Lots of hugs!
